Q: Why did you choose to become a veterinary technician?

A: Since high school, I knew I wanted to be involved with animals. I started by volunteering at Faithful Friends and the SPCA before going off to Harcum College.

Q: Do you have any previous experience or education?

A: I completed the veterinary technician program at Harcum College in 2012. I have worked at a small animal clinic, the Pennsylvania Harness Racing Commission, a doggy daycare, and New Bolton Center Marshak Dairy.

Q: Why did you apply at Longwood Veterinary Center?

A: I went to school with a passion to pursue small animal medicine and after working in large animal medicine for 7+ years, I thought it would be an exciting change to return to small animal veterinary medicine.

Q: What is one thing you like about working at LVC?

A: Everyone is trained in every area of the hospital, allowing a better understanding of everything and well-rounded staff members. I’ve also never worked with such a nice group of women. Everyone is so welcoming!

Q: What is one thing you are interested in learning about?

A: Dentistry and Surgery

Q: Do you have any pets at home?

A: I have a 9-year-old Jack Russell named Milo, that I rescued when he was 2 and a 3-year-old Pitbull Mix named Samson that I had the opportunity of rescuing his mother and birthing/ raising him and his 12 brothers and sisters.

Q: What are your hobbies outside of work?

A: Working out at the gym. Running and Kickboxing. I also enjoy Jeep off-roading and going to the shooting range. Lastly, I earn extra income with a side pet sitting business that keeps me busy.
