Aaliyah worked in the veterinary field for 18 years before joining the Longwood team in January of 2010. She graduated from Delaware State University with her Bachelor of Science in Pre-Veterinary Science in 2000. She does a variety of jobs in the hospital, providing nursing care, assisting with appointments and procedures, and serves as receptionist at the front desk. She enjoys watching football, traveling, church, and enjoying life.
Alisa joined LVC in June of 2012. Prior to becoming a Licensed Veterinary Technician in the state of DE, she worked as a canine obedience instructor for 2.5 years. She also has a degree in Environmental Studies from Temple University. Her cats Cecil, Tyler, and Leo are her pride and joy. When she is not working, Alisa enjoys working out, beach days, and hiking with her husband and dog: Fiona. She looks forward to many more years of helping families care for their furry friends!
Allie joined LVC in November 2017. She is currently a student at the University of Delaware majoring in Pre-Veterinary Medicine with a minor in Wildlife Conservation. She wishes to pursue veterinary school to become a large exotic animal vet. In her spare time she enjoys being outdoors with her 2 dogs: Claire and Lucy.
Andrea joined the team of Longwood Veterinary Center in October 2010. She spends her days caring for our many wonderful patients. She has taken a special interest in dentistry, radiology, and managing the Canine Blood Donor program. Andrea enjoys the new and exciting challenges her job brings. She lives in Chester County with her husband, son, the best dog in the world: Mongo and her 3 cats: Hoover, Harpua, and BDC.
Ashley has been at Longwood since 2007. She received her associates degree from Colorado Mountain College. She provides nursing care for our patients and assistance to the doctors during examinations. She especially enjoys monitoring anesthesia during surgeries and procedures. She has an English Bulldog named Boomer and a Maine Coon named Penny Layne.
Dana has worked at Longwood since 2001. She received her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science, her associate degree in Veterinary Technology and is a Certified Veterinary Technician. With her experience, she has stepped into the position of Technician Manager. Her responsibilities include training new staff members, helping to implement new protocols, and staying current on advancements in veterinary medicine.
Emily has been at LVC since September of 2013. She completed her degree in Veterinary Technology beginning at Harcum College and graduating from DTCC. At LVC, she loves the challenge of working with fearful kitties. She enjoys gardening and time spent with her husband Glenn, 2 children, their dog Cassidy, 3 kitties (Tehya, Tinsel, and Chevy), two bunnies and chickens.
Heather has worked at Longwood since 2006. She received her associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology from Harcum College. She enjoys providing nursing care to all our wonderful patients. Heather shares her home with her son Gavin and a handsome rescue kitty named Norman.
Jen has been a veterinary nurse since 1998. She has experience in emergency and general practice hospitals. She has been lovingly married to her husband since 2003 and is a dedicated mom of two girls. She has a Boston terrier named Mr. Bohannan and a kitty named Nibbles. Her life has always revolved around animals such as hamsters, fish, guinea pigs, rabbits, horses, dogs, and cats. She has earned her BA in Business. Currently, you can find her business profile, “Helping Paws Pet Care” of West Chester on Rover.com. Otherwise, you’ll find her enjoying the outdoors with her family!
Lakshmi joined LVC in November 2017. She worked in an emergency hospital for a year prior to being hired and in a wildlife rehabilitation center for a few years before that. She graduated from the University of Delaware in May 2017 with a degree in Pre-Veterinary Medicine. She wishes to pursue veterinary school to become a doctor but would like to work here at LVC for a few years before making that choice. She enjoys horseback riding and hiking with her golden retriever, Sonny. She currently lives in Chester County with a dog, two cats, and two birds.
Laura has worked at Longwood since the hospital opened in 1998. She received her Animal Health Technology degree at Harcum College and has worked in the field for 26 years. She enjoys working with all of our patients, especially critical care cases. She has a special knack for working with scared and fearful patients and also for fostering and raising puppies and kittens. She volunteered as a member of the Emergency Animal Response Team in Louisiana during the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and in Tennessee assisting in a neglect case of 84 horses. She has 4 dogs and 1 cat of her own. In her free time she enjoys riding horses and running agility with her dogs.
Loraine joined our team in October of 2011 after she and her husband, Larry, moved to their Chester County farm. Her love of animals is not only apparent in her day to day care of our patients, but can be seen at home with her many pets, including several dogs- both hunting breeds and rescues, Tennessee Walking horses, barn cats, chickens, ducks and homing pigeons. In her spare time, she enjoys hunting, gardening, horseback riding, as well as cooking and spending time with her grandchildren.
Megan has been at Longwood since 2004. She earned her associates degree in Early Childhood Education at Delaware Technical and Community College and received her associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology at Harcum College. She enjoys working in the area of dentistry and will get your pet’s teeth pearly white. Megan is married with 1 child, 1 dog, and 3 cats. In her spare time, she volunteers with the Delaware Humane Association’s One Health Program and her daughter’s Girl Scout Troop.
Sarah joined LVC in October of 2017. She is currently a junior at The University of Delaware with a double major in Pre-Veterinary Studies and Agriculture & Nature Recourses, with a minor in Medical Diagnostics. She intends to attend veterinary school to become a small animal veterinarian. She has experience working with large livestock and exotic animals, and adores all of LVC’s small animal patients. She enjoys spending her free time with friends and family and doing anything outdoors with her Golden Retriever mix, Bentley.
Sarah joined the LVC team as a part time veterinary nurse in February 2016. She will receive her Bachelor of Science degree in Pre-Veterinary Medicine and Animal Biosciences from the University of Delaware in May 2018. Prior to working here, she worked with a wide range of animals, including zoo animals, horses, and other large animals. She loves working with small animals and forming meaningful relationships with clients here at Longwood. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her friends and family and volunteering with her professional agriculture fraternity on campus. She has just recently accepted a seat at the University of Georgia’s College of Veterinary Medicine to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian.
Terry has worked part time at Longwood since 1998. She graduated from Median Allied Health Careers in Pittsburg with an associate degree in Animal Health & Science. She received her PA veterinary technician license in 1985. She provides nursing care to our patients during evening and weekend appointments, as well as overnight ICU care for critical cases. She has a full-time position at New Bolton Center, the large animal facility of the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Veterinary Medicine as a Large Animal Nurse for the department of Clinical Studies. Terry has numerous cats named after classical composers. She is an amateur photographer who spends her spare time light stalking with her Cannon camera.
