Get to Know Our Longwood Veterinarian, Dr. Parsons!

Dr. Parsons graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1999. After graduation, she completed an internship in large animal medicine and surgery at the University of Georgia and her residency at New Bolton Center. Dr. Parsons also received acupuncture training from Colorado State University. She is board certified in Internal Medicine. In addition to acupuncture, Dr. Parsons also sees small animal clinical cases. She resides in Lancaster County with her husband, 2 children, and a menagerie of pets and farm animals.

Q: What is one thing you love about your job?
A: My job involves translating how a pet is feeling and why they act the way they do into a language more easily understood by their owner. When I succeed in this aspect of my job, I feel I have truly made a difference in the pet and owner’s life. This is very important to me.
