Q & A with Alejandra:

Q: When did you start working at Longwood Vet Center?
A: I started at Longwood on November 6, 2017.

Q: Why did you choose to become a veterinary technician?
A: My love for animals is bigger than me. I want to dedicate my life to them and know that I’m doing something for them.

Q: Do you have any previous experience or education?
A: No previous experience, other than animal handling at Brandywine Zoo. However, I am currently enrolled at UD- majoring in Pre-Veterinary Medicine.

Q: If not, are you thinking to attend school and/or become licensed?
A: My goal is to apply for vet school after graduating UD and become a large exotic animal vet.

Q: Why did you apply to Longwood Vet Center?
A: I heard a lot of good things about the practice and the employees.

Q: What is one thing you like about working at LVC?
A: I love that they give you a chance to learn about everything and anything.

Q: What is one thing you are interested in learning about?
A: Surgery. I would love to be an animal surgeon in the near future.

Q: Do you have any pets at home?
A: Yes, I have 2 dogs (one of which I adopted from LVC) and one cat named Sylvester.

Q: What are your hobbies outside of work?
A: I enjoy dancing, Zumba and being outdoors with my dogs.
